But almost all require reservations for flights and hotels (and we planned to). I, of course, could get confused: with free booking cancellation, issue tickets with deferred payment using special services that I used when preparing documents for. To be honest, at that moment it was very lazy for me to do all this. Laziness is the engine of progress! 🙂

I found one Russian-language website for a company located in Singapore (Global Singapur). The employees did not require any documents, except for a photo of the main page of the passport, a photo of the applicant (me and Kostik) against a light background (you can use the front camera of the phone!). Plus, it took filling out an elementary small questionnaire (in Russian) right on the site. You pay $ 40 and wait for a visa within 5 working days. To be honest, this option seemed to me too easy, which became suspicious. But the reluctance to collect documents took its toll!

In general, it took much less time to apply for a Singapore visa online than I spent on determining the service for a "scam". I can't pay money until I check everything 10 times. I tested the site for domain name scams, tracked commenters who wrote reviews, and included logic, intuition and third eye. All in all, everything was smooth and good. That is, if, for example, you fly to Singapore from Bangkok, and then plan to fly further to Phuket (also Thailand), then you need to apply for a visa, since this is not a transit.

In this case, you must have printed tickets confirming that you plan to leave the territory of Singapore within 96 hours, and you must also have a visa of the country to which you are flying. It is necessary!

Visa-free transit in Singapore is the second pitfall.

It is also important to understand that if the time of stay exceeds the limit by even half an hour (for example, you arrive on January 1 at 00:00 and leave on January 5 at 00:35), then in fact you are violating the rules of visa-free transit. Therefore you:

a) have the right not to board the plane at the point of departure to Singapore (tickets will be checked at check-in at the point of departure).

b) have the right not to enter the territory of Singapore.

In the issue of visa-free transit, the "one hour does not solve anything" approach cannot be applied. If the actual stay in Singapore exceeds 96 hours, you need to make a visa.

Even if you adhere to all visa-free transit rules, you may still not be allowed to board your flight to Singapore. This is rare, but it happens, and all such cases are associated with the flight of the Asian low-cost Air Asia, Tiger.
